A Balinese guard known as 'Pecalang' patrols on a street in front of the Monument Bali Bombing 'Ground Zero' during the observation of 'Silence Day' on March 12, 2013 in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Nyepi means 'Day of Silence' and is observed every new year according to the Balinese calendar. The Hindu celebration is one of self-reflection and meditation and activities such as working, watching television or travelling are restricted between the hours of 6am and 6pm. Streets are deserted during these hours occupied only by the 'Pecalang', the security team in place to monitor that the restrictions are being followed. - high-definition photo for free download.
